General programme

The conference starts with a pre-conference welcome drink on Sunday (July 10) at the New Town City Hall.

Scientific programme starts on Monday morning and continues until Wednesday 1pm.

IAFPA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday afternoon.

Conference dinner will take place on a boat on the Vltava river.

There are a number of options for lunch in the centre of Prague: you can check our suggestions here; prices will range between 6 and 10 euros for lunch.

Plenary talks

We are happy to announce three plenary speakers for this year’s conference:

  • Francis Nolan (University of Cambridge): Will forensic speech scientists still need ears?
  • Petr Schwarz (Phonexia & Brno University of Technology): Current trends in voice biometry research and industrial efforts
  • Susanne Fuchs (Leibniz-Centre General Linguistics, Berlin): Flexibility and stability of respiration in human actions
